Pirkei Avoth (The Wisdom of the Ancestors)

The Pirkei Avoth , literally "chapters of the Fathers", are an anthology of maxims and sentences of the sages of Israel that are part of the Mishnah . These aphorisms and parables, expressed with great conciseness and luminosity, have a moral and philosophical meaning but also an esoteric one. This new version tries, especially from the Ladino text at sight, but also relying on the Hebrew and the classical commentators, to offer a more esoteric vision of the Pirkei Avoth within the philosophy of the present collection.
