“The Ukrainian police guarded us until a sector assigned by the Nazi officers, 15 Werk C, where the bags containing the trotyl were, the picric acid powder that was used to fill grenades and that we had to handle without any kind of of protection. Within a few days the poison would stick to the body.
First it colored my skin, my eyes, then the taste. Everything became more bitter than gall."

In the flow of the story, the reader will find three well-differentiated voices: the protagonist, herself a wonderful woman who miraculously managed to survive that earthly hell that was the Nazi death camps; the daughter of the protagonist, who steeled herself to recount the experience through the eyes of the first post-war generation; and the granddaughter of the protagonist, as a second post-war generation, the granddaughter of the protagonist, as a second generation, reverberating in the reader's mind the concept of continuity. A story of survival, anguish, sadness and courage, which is about putting into words to barely glimpse, one of the greatest atrocities in the history of humanity.
