Tales of Elijah the Prophet

In the Jewish religious tradition, the prophet Eliahu or Elijah, referred to in Kings I and II of the Old Testament, has an enormous importance, only surpassed by that of Moses. Throughout the generations, this prophet has fed the popular imagination with innumerable legends and stories, transmitted orally or in writing.
