(Likutey Tefilot) Rebbe Nachman of Breslov emphasized the fact that prayer is the main way to connect with God, teaching that we should speak to Him about all aspects of our lives, both spiritual and material, supplementing the daily prayer service with our own individual prayers. The Likutey Tefilot is a collection of prayers by Rabbi Natan, who was Rebbe Nachman's chief disciple. A classic of Jewish spiritual literature, the Likutey Tefilot gives voice to our innermost feelings and aspirations, always providing us with the right words when we need them most. Our sages teach that the highest level of God's knowledge - known as the Fiftieth Gate - lies beyond the reach of the human intellect, but can be remotely grasped through prayer. Rabbi Nathan once noted that his prayers came from Portal Number Fifty.
